K. Michael Ferranti is a medically trained professional, integrating both eastern and western medical traditions for over a decade. He is an Ayurvedic Practitioner and Educator, specializing in combining therapies such as homeopathy, reflexology, iridology, medicinal aromatherapy, diet and nutritional counseling, herbal remedies, and Reiki to gain balance in the body, mind, and soul. He studied Ayurveda at the Kripalu School of Ayurveda, in Lenox, Massachusetts. Highlights of his Ayurvedic gurukula education include being taught by great Ayurvedic vidyas such as Dr. Vasant Lad, Dr. John Douillard, Dr. Robert Svoboda, Dr. Shekar Annambhotla, Dr. Jay Apte, and Dr. Sunil Joshi.

March 2007, K. Michael Ferranti studied in India with world renowed Ayurvedic Physician Dr. Partap Chauhan, at JIVA Ayurvedic Insititute, completing course work 'Ayurveda and Incurable Diseases'. At the JIVA Institute, he learned how the interconnection between the body, mind and soul affects the disease process, concentrating on various ayurvedic healing modalities, such as herbal preparations, lifestyle and diet recommendations, and panchakarma. After his studies, he stayed at the ISKCON Krishna Balarama Temple/Ashram in Vrindavan, for retreat.

K. Michael Ferranti is a licensed allopathic, western medical practitioner, who currently specializes in dermatology in New York City, New York. Past specialties include internal medicine, cardiology, oncology, and emergency medicine. K. Michael Ferranti has a Level 1 Certification in 'Medicinal Aromatherapy' from Wisdom of the Earth Essential Oil Co. He is currently studying Homeopathic Medicine with the Center for Education and Development of Clinical Homeopathy (CEDH), sponsored by Boiron. 

K. Michael Ferranti's introduction to a life of spiritual growth and enlightenment started as a child, having been initiated with a mantra into the Transcendental Meditation movement by the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi at age 4, and then volunteering as a Christian missionary in Russia as a young adult. Studying the Bhagavad Gita/Srimad Bhagavatam and being Krishna conscious at a young age, spiritual growth through various Vedic texts, Buddhist eastern thought, and Christian mysticism became central to his life. He has completed The Art of Living Foundation Course I (Prananyama and Sudarshan Kriya) with H.H. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and received Darshan from Ammachi Mata Amritanandamayi Devi and Mother Meera. Also, he received the "Saraswati Mantra" initiation (Sri Saraswati Mantra Diksha by having the Sanskrit mantra written on my tongue with a Tulsi twig dipped in honey) from Amma Sri Karunamayi. 

In 2010/2011, he received Harinam Diksha and Gayatri Brahmin Diksha (Initiation) into the Caitanya Gaudiya Vaishnav Sampradaya (Ancient Vedic Tradition) from his Guru Maharaj, H.H. Swami BV Tripurari Maharaja (Sri Caitanya Sangha), given the auspicious name Kanubhai Das. K.Michael has completed the "Bhakti Sastri Certification" course at Bhaktivendanta College Radhadesh, in Belgium. 

K. Michael Ferranti is grateful to be given the name "Tenzin Woeser" by His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama of Tibet on June 20st, 2009. Tenzin Woeser means the "Holder of the Teachings of Radiance and Light". 

K. Michael Ferranti recently appeared on the Martha Stewart "Morning Living," Sirius Satellite radio show and featured multiple times in Martha Stewart's, Whole Living "Body+Soul Magazine, spreading the consciousness of Ayurveda. He is on staff at Pace University in New York City, teaching Ayurvedic Medicine/Complimentary and Alternative Medicine to the Physician Assistant Program. Also, he recently lectured on "Self-Healing through Self-Realization: An Ayurvedic Approach," aboard the Norwegian Cruise Line and continues to give presentations on Ayurveda in the New York City metropolitan area. He has treated celebrity, Rosie O'Donnell.

He teaches Ayurvedic Medicine and Yogic Philosophy to various yoga teacher training and wellness program's in the New York Metro area including at The Open Center (NYC), as well as graduating, as a Yoga Teacher, from Sadie Nardinis', 'Core Strength Vinyasa' Yoga Teacher Training Intensive in 2008. 

K. Michael Ferranti uses yoga, meditation, and breathing techniques in his own life to gain a higher level of consciousness, relaxation, and peace. He currently lives and works in the New York City, New York area.
